Jess Semaan is a queer Lebanese psychotherapist, published author and activist. They explore subjects of trauma, belonging and attachment through her writing and with her clients. Their first poetry book Child of the Moon was published by Andrews McMeel, and sold over 13,000 copies. They run groups at UC Berkeley, Stanford, as well as their own Lebanese Diaspora support group and are an advocate for psychedelic assisted therapy.

Semaan resides on Ohlone land, with their partner Berk, and their three cats.
